Funny Friday!

A Gentlemen calls me and says “I just found out I have an artesian well at my house and it is flowing, can you please come look at it?” As a flowing artesian well is considered an emergency, I stop what I am doing and I go to evaluate the situation. Once I dig up the well I find that there is a home made well seal. I take off the old leaking well seal and install a new proper well seal and stop the leaking. When cleaning up I noticed this home made well seal looks funny and realized that the previous home owner had modified a toilet plunger to fit as a well seal and has been working for 25+ years!!! All I can say is his old well seal was far from being a sanitary well seal and his new one has stopped the leaking and up to code!
